A splash of color

As you know, I love colorful bags. And what could be more colorful than this Tosca Blu beauty? I love it!

Natalie does it again

If you've been reading this blog for a while, you know that I adore book-like clutches. So I have to say I absolutely love this clutch Natalie Portman was seen carrying a while ago.

Stephanie Pratt's awesome bag

As most people who know me know, I love Alexander McQueen. So I am extremely jealous of Stephanie Pratt's Alexander McQueen clutch, I think it it gorgeous, fun and original, all at once.

I want one too!

One of the most expensive bags in the world

This bag costs $1.9 million, which makes it one of the most expensive bags I have ever seen.

But to be honest... it is not that special. And how fun can it be to own a $1.9 million bag anyway? You can hardly take it out a lot, can you?

Under a moonlit sky

I think this Lulu Guinness bag, designed by Rob Ryan is simply gorgeous! (click the pic to enlarge it!)
And I totally admire Rob Ryan for even attempting to design for such a great brand, and then to see that he pulls it off so well! That is frickin' awesome!

I love this guy!

Another cutie

Balenciaga really does handbags so well right now! Just look at this colorful set, isn't it to die for?

The colors would be totally tacky and cheap looking on anything else than a Balenciaga bag I think, but how could any color look bad when Balenciaga does it? Love these!

The memory remains

I have always wanted a Balenciaga bag. Ever since I saw them for the first time. But up until now, I have not gotten one. The biker bags were kind of everywhere for a while, so I got a bit tired of them. This is why I would actually prefer another bag model. So this Classic Papier Tote would be perfect!

It is still very obviously Balenciaga, but not as predictable and done as the biker bags. So yes, this would be a great investment for me!

Fun and quirky

That is how I would describe this really cute Kate Spade "The Great Gatsby" book clutch.

I love books, and I love bags, so what could be better than combining the two?

On my wishlist right now...

... but so out of my budget as well:
Hermes Jypsiere.

(click on the pic to enlarge)

They are so cool because they look like Hermes bags, but also kind of like something completely different. Too bad the pricetag is Hermes-like as well...

Right now I am coveting...

... a red Longchamp bag. Which sounds weird, if you know that I already have several of them. But! I really love these bags, they are so durable, fit so much and look so cute with almost everything. And I really think I will be wearing A LOT of red this fall, so it would match some of my new red pieces (and shoes!) perfectly.

Kate Moss for Longchamp

Believe it or not, this is a Longchamp bag!
As some of you may already know, I am a huge Longchamp fan, and I love their classic and traditional bags as well. But this really does not look like a Longchamp bag at all, which makes it even cooler!

It's designed by Kate Moss for Longchamp and will be available from the middle of October.

Tres chic!

I love the brand Derriere la Porte, that mostly makes all kinds of decorative objects for the house. (Read more about them here and here and here)
But now they have also started making some bags! Ok, not real bags... yet!... but they do make shopping bags! Foldable ones!

Isn't this one just adorable?

Still stuck on blue

I am currently looking for a new red bag (I'm thinking maybe a Longchamp?) but I still love blue bags, such as this one, spotted over at Garance Dore's. (click on the pic to enlarge it)

Funny love

I've always loved Moschino. It is a brand with a sense of humour and fun and quirky designs, which I love. Just look at these adorable pieces from the last bag collection!

I seriously want both!

A peek into my collection, part 1

Since I am a selfconfessed bag freak, I guess I should try to show some evidence of that from time to time. So... voila! This is the first peek into my massive bag collection!

I've chosen to start with three clutches, because I've been using these when I went out to dinner at restaurants recently, so they were just lying around, waiting to be photographed.

First up:
My vintage Christian Dior.

I only have 2 Dior bags (so far!), one new and one vintage, and this is, of course, the vintage one. I bought it at a very high end consignment store a bit over a year ago, and the owner of the store told me that it used to belong to a French woman, who had recently become a widow. Instead of being heartbroken and depressed, she decided that now was a perfect time to go travel all over the world, so she was getting rid of a lot of her belongings before leaving.

Most of the stuff this inspirational French woman brought in was already sold when I visited the store, but this bag was still there.
And since I have always loved vintage Dior pieces, I knew I had to get it!

The other bag I wanted to show you is actually one of my cheapest bags ever. I actually don't remember exactly how much it cost, but I know it wasn't a lot, since I got it at ASOS (I love them!).

I use this bag a lot, since it goes with a lot of my stuff, and is cute, yet subtle and not too boring at the same time. And it is the perfect size too!
I honestly don't love clutches or anything, but I do feel that they are sort of elegant, so I do use them from time to time, for dinners out, and for parties. But since I know I will never use any clutch I get a lot, I prefer not to pay too much for them either. So ASOS clutches are kind of perfect for me!

The third, and last bag, that you will get to look at today is another vintage gem: A vintage Pierre Cardin.

I bought this in an online vintage store a few years ago, and while I don't use it often, I love the colors of it, and it always manages to cheer me up.
And I am not 100 % sure, but I think this is the only Pierre Cardin piece I own, so that makes it a bit special too!

Oh well, it was too expensive for me anyway

Isn't this Fendi Peekaboo Large felt tote awesome?
And it would go so well with all the stuff I am planning to wear this fall too!

But strangely (or maybe not so strangely, considering how gorgeous it is!) enough, it is already sold out on Net-a-Porter, despite being the latest added item to the store?

For your groceries

If anyone is looking for cute canvas bags (I use these for grocery shopping), you might be interested in knowing that Forever21 has several really cute ones right now. See the pictured ones here and here.

How come I never thought of that before?

Not everyone loves handbags with gimmicks, but I do! I have quite a few gimmicky handbags myself, and I always get really happy when I see new gimmicks that I like. Like the Amber Notebook leather clutch! I love the notebook part of it, it is simply brilliant, and when I see it, I honestly can't understand why it hasn't been done before.

Way to go, Alexander Wang!

Fishy!

I don't like most Judith Leiber clutches to be honest, most of them are a bit too over the top for my taste. But this Fish fine crystal-embellished clutch is really adorable!

Perfect for fall

Right now I am really into grey for fall, and I am planning quite a few grey splashes that I want to incorporate into my wardrobe. And of course I need some greyish handbags to go with all of that!

These Longchamp steel colored bags are just perfect! Both because they look a bit different from most Longchamp bags, and because I know and love the brand. (I have 5 Longchamps already)

But what size should I get? All of mine are either small or medium sized so far, so should I splurge on a large one?

Hard decision

I have been checking the online sales out lately, and I really adore this Marc by Marc Jacobs Baby Groovee leather bag, because the color has been one of my favourites since I was a child.
But the thing is, this shade is not a very wearable one, I think it only really works in summer (pastels often look weird if worn in the winter, if you ask me). I know this because I have a Longchamp (which I love!) in almost the same shade.
So while this cutie is on sale, for a mere £175.74, that is still a lot of money if you don't end up using the bag enough.
Oh, what to do, what to do...

My laptop needs this! But doesn't match this!

This Marc by Marc Jacobs laptop case is just too cute! I would totally get it if it wasn't for the fact that it really does not match my laptop (which is light pink).

So for those of you with a more practically colored laptop: check this bargain out!

Resort bags

The Moschino Cheap and Chic Resort 2011 collection is fab in many ways, but especially the bags are stunning! Just take a look at these two gorgeous pieces of art!

(By the way, I love how Moschino always has hearts in their design, it makes them stand out from other labels in a fun and quirky way if you ask me. So I adore the big heart on the black bag!)

Pink dreams

If you have read my other blog, you know that I like pink. And that I adore Alexander McQueen. So this bag is simply perfection for me, since it combines all the stuff I like into one lovely little package!

I think this gorgeous Faithful Medium polished-leather satchel is a bit out of my price range at the moment, I have tons of other stuff I need to spend money on at the moment, so I did not see this beauty at a good time. Sigh!

Childhood memories

I am really loving the cute Sesame Street tote bags American Apparel is selling at the moment. I would not necessarily wear them as regular bags for work, but they are perfect for the beach or for grocery shopping!

Etsy has the best stuff!

For as long as I can remember, I have been slightly obsessed with maps. I am not sure why, I guess they symbolize or are subconsciously connected to traveling, which I adore, somehow.

I already have a bag with a map on it (a Spanish vintage leather bag), but I would love to get more, in order to combine my love for maps with my love for handbags. Like this little cutie, from Tootles on Etsy.

I knew a girl who had almost that name once...

I don't own anything Tory Burch yet, but I have been checking out her stuff for quite some time now, thinking I should get a little collection started.

And I am thinking this
Sawla fringed leather messenger bag would be a wonderful first piece. (But I do not like the styling on the outfit picture one bit, let's just make that clear!)
