ALDO is not the only company making champagne bags

I just noticed Kate Spade makes them too! And I will say, I think she does it even better than ALDO. Just take a look:

While this is not technically a champagne bottle bag, like ALDO's (see my post about their champagne bottle bag here, if you missed it), this is somehow more wearable all year round, as opposed to just on New Year's Eve, if you ask me. So I think I prefer the Kate Spade version myself...

My latest handbag obsession...

... definitely has to be the new rainbow colored Valentino Rockstud collection, from their Resort 2015 line. I've always loved really colorful bags, and it really doesn't get any better than this! (Well, maybe if you match it with the matching shoes...)

The perfect bag for anyone who gambles

(something I am not really into, myself, to be honest)

has to be Kate Spade's Place Your Bets bags. You can choose between a wristlet:

And a clutch:

And I believe I saw some matching coin purses somewhere too.

I love all the attention to details on these bags, it is so cool that they made such an effort with the back too, making the bags really look like "real" playing cards!

Moschino's McDonald's inspired Soda Cup Bag now on sale!

Over at Shopbop.

I really like this bag, I think it is the perfect recognizable nod to popular culture, in a new and modern way. So I would personally not mind getting this as a present for the holidays at all!

Do you like whimsical bags?

Much like the owner of this blog?

If so, ASOS has some really nice ones now, from ALDO, that you might want to take a look at.

The ALDO champagne bag would be a great choice for New Year's Eve, if you ask me, or why not other festive occasions as well?

The ALDO clock bag, on the other hand, is pretty much great all year round.

Both very whimsical and very, very cute, but as a champagne lover, I must admit I am more drawn to the champagne bag personally.

How annoying!

When I fall head over heels for a designer handbag that is quite pricey, yet not all that useful, I sometimes spend a lot of time looking for a more wallet friendly alternative, just to satisfy my cravings for a certain quirkiness in a bag. This happened a while ago with Charlotte Olympia's Popcorn themed bag (see a post about that here) and the milk carton bag from the same designer (see a post about that here). I searched high and low for those bags, and eventually found some really nice alternatives. (Read the post about my popcorn bag here, and the post about the milk carton bag I ended up getting in the end here)
This is why it annoys me to see that alternatives for these bags have been made quite easily available over at ASOS now!
Ok, this happened quite a lot after I bought my "inspired" bags, and I have been carrying them around for quite some time already, but still, it will be annoying to see so many more of these around town. (which is generally what happens when ASOS starts carrying something)

But if you are still looking for a nice alternative to Charlotte Olympia's popcorn bag, check this out:

And if you'd like a milk carton version, you might like this:

That's all folks! Rant over!
