Generally, I am not a fan of cheap bags, not because I am obsessed with labels or anything, but simply because a lot of cheaper bags look really bad and break down way too soon, so I think it is generally a better long term investment to spend a bit more and get a bag that will last you a long time. But not all cheap bags fall apart after one season!
This for instance, is a H&M bag that I bought 6 years ago, maybe even longer ago, and it still looks exactly like it did when I bought it. So sometimes you can grab great stuff in the high street chains too!
That said, I don't have a lot of bags from H&M otherwise, but when I saw this one, I loved all the pockets on it, since that seemed so practical and useful, so I decided to get it. And since then, I have gotten a lot of compliments on this bag, from people asking where they can get one too.
I think the secret to this bag's long life is the material, however, not the brand so much, so that would be the best tip I can give those who do tend to buy their bags in places like H&M: check the material extremely carefully.
This material has not been effected by rain, dirt or anything else, so I am pretty sure I will be using it for many more years to come.
