A Chanel backpack, anyone?

I hate backpacks with a passion. I just don't think they do anything for your posture, and they are also not feminine in any way, just to name a few reasons I would never ever be seen carrying a backpack, no matter what brand that backpack came from. So even the Chanel backpack that I spotted over at The Purse Blog today, does not appeal to me at all.

I still think it will be interesting to see how many other Chanel aficionados pick this one up, though. I bet it will be a few!

But if you ask me, Chanel backpacks are just crazy. Stick to what you do best, Chanel! (meaning: beautiful, timeless and feminine bags, not some sloppy looking canvas thing!)

New, completely crazy Chanel beach bag

I am all for oversized bags, since I tend to lug a lot of stuff with me everywhere. But this latest Chanel Hula Hoop beach bag is taking the oversize trend a bit too far, if you ask me. This just cannot be practical! And I don't like the fact that the Chanel-ness of it is made so in your face. Luxury definitely should be a bit more discreet.

And who spends tons of money on a beach bag anyway? I only carry them very rarely, so simple ones are definitely enough for me, I prefer to put my money into every day bags instead.

I love Chanel bags, including the classic, timeless ones, but I am particularly fond of the more unusual makes from this brand, such as Kelly Osbourne's very cool neon Chanel flap bag.

I am not necessarily saying I would go for something this quirky for my first Chanel bag, with a limited handbag budget it is probably better to go for a neutral when you start off, but if you are a celebrity who doesn't have to worry about such trivial matters, this neon Chanel will surely add a fun, non-forgettable splash of color to your collection!

Kim Kardashian's gorgeous turquoise Chanel bag

Kim Kardashian has a really nice collection of handbags. She was recently spotted with this turquoise Chanel bag, that I just adore, for instance.

These bags are really stunning on their own, but I think they are even more fun in bright colors. And I have to say, I haven't seen very many turquoise ones so far.

Trend: Nautical bags

The nautical trend is one of the hottest trends right now, and I have to say, I love it!

I personally do not have even one nautical bag yet, I've never ran into one that felt perfect for me (even though I did see some rather cute ones at H&M recently), but I am seriously considering getting one.
